It has been a struggle for Christina Aguilera to cope up with her joint responsibilities of being a single mom as well as being in the spotlight as one of world’s most renowned recording artists. Following the divorce from her five-year marriage with Jordan Bratman in 2010, the 31-year-old singer confesses on having a rough time that includes numerous embarrassing incidents. Last year she messed up the lyrics of the “The Star Spangled Banner” while singing in front of the national television for the Super Bowl XLV.

Her latest album “Bionic” and film debut “Burlesque” were also poorly received and had several critical reviews. With all that is going on in her life, Christina commented that going through a failed marriage is difficult for anyone in public but when that person is a celebrity it makes things all the more difficult. She said that she had to develop a thick skin to put up with everything.

Christina, now having a son with her ex-husband Jordan, Max Liron insists that her new role as a single mother has played an important role in making her a stronger person. She feels that she now has new priorities and being a mother has helped her to understand herself better. Although she loves to entertain people and perform live in crowded auditoriums, she now believes that there is more to her than just her career.

Christina has now returned as one of the judges on NBC’s reality talent show “The Voice.” To go along with her workaholic ways, she is currently working on her next recording project. She is also working alongside World Food Programme, the food aid branch of United Nations, and helping them to raise funds for fighting hunger. Christina has stressed that the family and its values are top priority to her at the present moment.
